Private, tailored training for reactive dogs.
Exclusive to all Journey Dog Training Alumni, our Big Feelings Club sessions are designed specifically for reactive dogs (dogs with big feelings!) who need extra support, space, and understanding.
These one-on-one private sessions offer a calm, structured environment where you and your dog can build confidence with guided instruction about the world around them.

Tailored training, at your dog’s pace.
Our head trainer, Sarah, will tailor each session to your dog’s needs through expert and compassionate guidance within a controlled, setting with plenty of room for your dog to decompress, settle, and feel safe. Areas of focus include:
Dog-to-dog Reactivity
Build resilience, confidence, and calmness around other (controlled) dogs.
Farm Animal Exposure
Opportunities to safely work on prey drive and impulse control around livestock.
Stranger Danger Practice
Gradual desensitisation to new people in a controlled setting.
And more! Please note that, depending on your dog, the history and the area of focus, there are not always 'quick fixes' and that any training we implement will need to be continued by you in a consistent way to maximise results.
What’s Involved

Big Feelings Club sessions are available at an Alumni-only price of $95 per session.
Once your registration is processed, payment is due with 24 hours to secure your session time. Waiting lists are available in case of last minute cancellations.

Each session is 45 minutes.
Note: Sessions will go ahead in all weather, unless extreme. You will be notified in advance if sessions need to be postponed.

Sessions are held on a rural property near McLaren Falls Park, Tauranga, or in quiet, public parks in the Tauranga Area.

When you register for Big Feelings Club session, you'll have the opportunity to select which option works for you.
Note that set days vary each month and spaces fill up quick—in these cases you can join our waitlist, or check back next month when the new sessions are released.
Suitable for dogs of all ages that have graduated our Prime Pups School, attended private dog or puppy training, or have previously completed the Reactive Dog Programme with Allsorts Dog Training.
